What's Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an old natural healing system from India, used for thousands of years. The word means “the science of life.” It teaches how to live a healthy, balanced life by caring for the body, mind, and spirit. Ayurveda believes that everyone is made of three types of energy, called doshas: Vata (air), Pitta (fire), and Kapha (earth). Each person has a unique mix of these. When the doshas are balanced, we feel well. When they’re not, we may get sick. Ayurveda helps keep this balance through healthy food, daily routines, exercise like yoga, breathing, sleep, and natural remedies like herbs and oils. It also teaches us to stay close to nature and live calmly. Instead of just treating symptoms, Ayurveda looks at the root cause of problems and helps the whole body heal. Today, many people still use Ayurveda to stay healthy in a gentle and natural way.
